I spent 5 years in the foster care system and it was then that my love for photography turned into a survival tool. I found that the ability to look for the good among the bad in life and to capture it with the camera in my hands was a feeling that empowered me to believe that beauty can always be found in the midst of ashes. I'm still finding that beauty in each shoot today!
